Site Visit Planning

Coordinating a successful site visit is a cornerstone of an academic unit review. The Graduate School Office of Academic Affairs (OAA) is eager to partner with you to plan a rewarding site visit. The following information and resources will help your unit draft a strong site visit agenda and prepare for your upcoming site visit.

Steps for Developing the Self-Study

  1. Twelve weeks before the site visit, the unit provides draft site visit agenda and self-study
  2. Office of Academic Affairs provides feedback based on standard guidelines and the unit makes any revisions
  3. Office of Academic Affairs shares the self-study with the respective dean or vice chancellor, who may give feedback to the unit
  4. After dean or vice chancellor approval, Office of Academic Affairs shares the self-study with the review committee with an opportunity for requests for additional information
  5. Unit responds to any requests from the review committee, finalizing the self-study one to two weeks before the site visit
