Fostering diversity and inclusion in graduate education is a paramount responsibility as we prepare our graduate students to be effective leaders in local and global societies. To advance this, the Graduate School provides leadership and resources for student recruitment, holistic admissions and retention. The Office of Graduate Student Equity & Excellence (GSEE) offers events and programming to support the success of Black, Latinx, Native American and Pacific Islander* graduate students. These are open to all University of Washington graduate students, faculty and staff, especially those interested in supporting and increasing a racially diverse graduate student population.
*Federally recognized underrepresented minority populations (Black/African American, American Indian/Alaska Native/Indigenous, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander and Latino/Hispanic). OEJ also serves Filipino and Southeast Asian student populations.
